About me:
I am Melina Ohlenschlager-Giesbert, mother of a daughter and a son. Since 2012 I have been working as a nurse in a Hospital in Amsterdam in the maternity ward and delivery rooms.
In 2017 I had the opportunity to follow the breastfeeding coach training that I successfully completed in 2018, in order to provide even more guidance to maternity women. In the same year a position as a lactation consultant in training became available, I did not hesitate to apply, I followed this training with pleasure and in October 2019 I participated in the international exam of the IBLCE * which I passed.
Since January 1, 2020 I can call myself lactation consultant (IBCLC) **.
In the hospital I supervise mothers in the maternity, neonatology and children's ward and I give information about breastfeeding to pregnant women. I provide training for doctors, midwives, nurses and students.
